Wake N Shake Privacy Policy
By using Wake N Shake Alarm Clock (‘WnS’ or “Wake N Shake’) you agree with this privacy policy.
Use of Facebook Data
Wake N Shake will not analyze any of your Facebook data or look at any private information. The only use of your Facebook’s data is done in the server to pair you with other friends using Wake N Shake. Wake N Shake also uses your first name and profile picture and displays it in the “Alarms Feed” or “Daily Feed” so you can identify yourself and your friends.
Wake N Shake also will look at usage statics. These are tools provided by Facebook, and its an anonymous, aggregated set of statistics that do not identify any one individual use case. Wake N Shake uses these to improve the product.
OpenGraph and Wake N Shake
Wake N Shake, with the provided Facebook permissions, will publish “Open Graph Actions” to the news feed, the ticker, and your timeline, which is only visible to your friends. These are explicitly:
- Alarms: time when your alarm goes off, shake points, and shake intensity
- Naps, time when alarm goes off, amount of time slept
- Achievements: when you win a milestone in Wake N Shake
- King and Queen of the Week: when you earn the crown at the end of the week (Sunday)
Flurry
Wake N Shake has an integrated system called Flurry (Flurry.com), which aggregates usage statistics within an app. This included when a user opens the app, times it’s used, taps in certain areas and level of engagement. These statistics are then aggregated and presented to Wake N Shake in a way that’s completely anonymous and does not identify any one specific user or use case. We installed Flurry to improve the app based on use.
Wake N Shake’s Take on Privacy
We respect our users and their privacy. We have no interest in your data, have not built any system or method to access it, and have no benefit from it. In summary, we’re consumers too, and want to feel as safe using an app we love as you do. Thank you.
